Process Engineer

As a process engineer, you will be responsible for various processes and tools for new and existing parts, from feasibility study and technical feasibility, through development to implementation and commissioning. We are looking for someone who wants to learn about gearing, laser welding and heat treatment.

Working closely with Product Engineering, suppliers and subcontractors, you will investigate the technical feasibility of new projects/products, formulate proposals to improve or simplify product design. This with the aim of producing the new parts safely and qualitatively within the predetermined cost. Continuous Improvement Engineer

Dana is building for the future with the development of transmissions for electric off-highway vehicles. As part of continuous improvement and process optimization, we are currently looking for a continuous improvement engineer who will co-lead improvement projects.

As lean coach you will guide the colleagues of the site (focus manufacturing & logistics) in the Continuous Improvement trajectory.

You give training to the colleagues in Continuous Improvement techniques and combine this with guiding various workshops on site.

In this position you support the Continuous Improvement Manager and steer improvements in the area of Operational Excellence in close consultation with the various departments.

You support the preparation of an annual plan around Operational Excellence and improvement projects and translate this into concrete action plans. You identify costs, potential benefits, resources, etc. and advise Management. Once the project starts, as CI Engineer you are responsible for the preparation, the roll-out & implementation as well as the evaluation of the different projects. You have no direct reports but bring together project teams (consisting of 2-5 employees) and manage them in the project context.

You track the status of various actions and tasks and work with the departmental managers to achieve the objectives.

You help the organization through the departmental managers to embed continuous improvement in daily activities and make adjustments where necessary.

You translate working methods into practical and workable standard instructions and ensure a uniform approach throughout the organization.

Assembly Quality Engineer

Through detection and analysis of quality problems at customers and in assembly, you are responsible for setting up, initiating and implementing improvement systems and actions to optimize the quality level of finished products.
You will report to the Plant Quality Engineer. Very frequent contacts are maintained with the PSS Manager to report and discuss decisions.
Your duties consist of :

Production Support : You support, guide, coordinate and follow up quality actions in production to guarantee production continuity and reduce external and internal rejects and improve throughput.

Continuous Improvement : You analyze customer complaints, make suggestions for improvement, follow up and coordinate so that repetitive quality problems are prevented.

Backup Reporting : analyzing customer complaints, rejects in production, test bench and SIP, reporting progress in complaint handling to provide management with an accurate picture and overview of where quality problems are located.

You analyze the rejected parts, draw up 8D action plans and think along to solve them systematically. Based on your product and process knowledge, you quickly make the connection between cause and effect.

You maintain the quality system, in order to maintain an effective QMS with added value for the organization.

As a breakdown technician, you will have a diverse range of duties and be part of a cool team:

  • In case of a breakdown, you work together with other technicians to repair the mechanical, hydraulic and compressed air equipment of CNC-controlled machine tools.
  • You perform preventive checks and scheduled maintenance.
  • You interpret electrical diagrams and where necessary you make adjustments in consultation.

Application Controls Engineer

The application controls team develops, verifies, and maintains application specific data for control units. The goal is to become the responsible for one of the transmission controller families.

You will capture and review requirements from internal parties and our worldwide customer base. Specify and detail functional concepts. Improving shift quality and driveline behavior through analysis of measurements. Verification and configuration of the application software. The work is mostly done from the Bruges office and test facilities, on occasion a field visit is required, as the Off-Highway vehicles need a specific environment to operate in a representative manner.
